PZO: As a band, what do you think
your best qualities are?
Bobby: As a band? I think our unity. We've taken a little bit of time
off. I think Orgy without one member really wouldn't be Orgy. But definitely,
unity of the band.
PZO: What qualities would you like to improve?
Bobby: I don't know. That's a tough question. <laughs> I
think things are going pretty good now. We haven't played, we haven't
been out on the road, so we need to get out there and play and find something
we need to improve on.
PZO: What is one goal you want to accomplish
as a musician?
Bobby: Get respect from a lot of musicians. To become better.
PZO: What are you most proud of on the new album,
Punk*Statik*Paranoia?
Bobby: That it's really raw. There's a couple of songs that have bass
and stuff like that, but most of it is just raw drums, guitar and bass.
So it's definitely different from the past few records.
PZO: What is a common compliment people give
you individually and as a band?
Bobby: "I really like your hair." <laughs> Most
people compliment our look, our image. But recently, I mean we've been
away for a long time. We'll see this time what people compliment us.
PZO: What was the last meaningful thing you
did?
Bobby: That'd be with my kids. Almost everyday for me is meaningful. Just
giving them breakfast is just great. I just love being with them. It means
the world.
PZO: What's the best lesson you've learned from
past experiences in your career?
Bobby: Don't trust a lot of people. <laughs> Don't stick
to one thing. Don't limit yourself. Keep learning. Work, work, work as
much as you can.
PZO: What's something you wish people would
understand about you or any issue you believe in?
Bobby: That's a tough one. I try to do stuff. I do what I need to do.
I don't try to fish anything on anybody.
PZO: What event in your life had the greatest
impact on you?
Bobby: My kids. My kids. Huge. Huge.
PZO: How many?
Bobby: I have two kids. I have a boy he's going to be a four in May and
a girl that's two.
PZO: What are their names?
Bobby: Gavin and Willow.
PZO: What is one of your best childhood memories?
Bobby: I have a twin brother. So we always raised some shit. We grew up
in Los Angeles, so we skipped school and took the bus down to the beach
all the time. Just being able to be, you know, no responsibilities and
just having fun 'cause that's all you would look forward to. Get some
supper, go to a movie, that stuff. Just that freedom.
PZO: Are you guys best friends?
Bobby: Yeah, I'm actually here at his house.
PZO: What keeps you grounded and optimistic?
Bobby: My family. My wife. She does a great job of doing that. She's always
supporting me and pushing me. She see's things in a better light than
at the times that I don't. My kids always put a smile on my face. They
definitely keep me on my feet.
PZO: What is the worst advice you've ever been
given?
Bobby: <laughs> Financial advise.
PZO: What is one thing you would not do no matter
how much money you were offered?
Bobby: Gay porn. <laughs> Depends on if I'm broke or not.
<laughs> That's a tough one. I don't know. That's a good
one.
PZO: If you were running for president what
would your motto be?
Bobby: That's too much pressure, too much responsibility. Hmm…my motto.
I don't know. You're stumping me. I don't know. Pass!
PZO: Given the opportunity, who would you kidnap
for a day? No family members.
Bobby: Gee, I don't know. <gets frustrated> You're killing
me!
<laughter>
PZO: Alright, kidnap your family.
Bobby: Okaaaaaaay.
PZO: Is there a question that comes up in interviews
that you're tired of being asked?
Bobby: Seeing as in this is my first interview since like a year and a
half--
PZO: Really?
Bobby: Yeah, yeah. Nothing lately, but it's always been how we got the
name [of the band].
PZO: Is there one you want to be asked?
Bobby: Sometimes personal and maybe things that are out of the ordinary.
How did you write song? Or maybe something about our equipment, you know
something more in depth than the obvious.
PZO: Tell everyone why they should buy the new
Orgy album, Punk*Statik*Paranoia.
Bobby: This record is really stripped down. Very raw and very simple.
I think people are gonna really be interested in this record. I think
they're really going to like it.
